My own | Ridgewood Bergen County twins photographer

We wanted to take the girls to the Shore but since we did not know how they would take to the ocean we decided to go just for a few days.  Overall the trip was great – and even though they did not care much for the ocean and the waves, they loved the beach (their first reaction to it was ‘Look – sandbox, big sandbox!’)  So we settled for building sandcastles and looking for whales.*

*one of their favorite cartoons is the Flying Whales from Fantasia 2000 so as soon as they saw the ocean they told me that mama, papa and baby whale were there.

I do admit that I am a bit subjective but I just love how the image below came out.  It was taken on a grey and gloomy day when we had the whole beach to ourselves.  It was absolutely perfect and so peaceful – the only sounds we could hear were the sound of the ocean, seagulls and the girls laughing – what could be better than that?

I spent some time playing around with the colors in this image and am so happy with the result – I think it conveys the mood of that day – serene and peaceful. And it captures Mia and Alexa so perfectly – always together and always hurrying to their next adventure.  It is my favorite image of them at the moment and I ordered as a giant canvas – can’t wait to get it!

Day at the beach | New York children photographer

Whenever my repeat clients book a session I am always very excited about it – I just love to catch up with the parents and see how much the kids have changed.  And this time was no exception – last time I saw this little one was more than 6 months ago when she turned one.  When I saw her for a summer session I could not believe how much she has grown – from a beautiful baby she turned into a beautiful little girl!  One thing that did not change about little S.R. was that she is still as adorable as ever – I could not get enough of her.

Her Mom recommended a beach as a location for the session and it worked out perfectly.  It was S. R. first time at the beach and she absolutely LOVED it.  She could not get enough of the sand and waves – unlike my own daughters, who did not want anything to do with the ocean at our recent trip to the Shore, but that’s a whole different post:)

Here are a few of my early favorites:

Two weeks young | Bergen County New Jersey newborn photographer

These beautiful girls were just two weeks old when I phototographed them!  They were absolutely perfect little beings and holding them almost made me want to get one of my own:)   And their Mom looked absolutely AMAZING – noone would be able to guess that she gave birth to TWINS only two weeks ago!

Christmas/Chanukah/Kwanzaa/etc. in July | Bergen County New Jersey children photographer

Winter holidays is probably the last thing on anyone’s mind in this 90+ degrees heat but I want you to think outside the box.  Summer is actually a great time to get starting on your holiday sessions and here are just a few reasons why:

  • you re not rushing at the last minute trying to set up your session/order holidays cards/gifts and hope that you get everything done on time
  • if you had your holidays sessions in the fall last year, this is a great opportunity to capture summer images – so that you can watch your kids grow through the seasons
  • it is much easier for you to schedule/have a session before school starts and kids will get busy

And if you are still not 100% convinced, I am throwing in a little bonus – a free set of 3 custom designed brag books with every order!   Just mention the ‘Christmas in July’ special when you book your session to get your brag books.

As you can see from the images below (all taken in the summer) summer is a GREAT season to take pictures!  But don’t wait too long – this offer is only valid on sessions booked by July 31 and held by August 31.  So call me at 917-647-6385 or email me at Lena@LiveLoveLaughPhotos.com to schedule your session.

Fairy | Bergen County New Jersey Children Photographer

I had a lot of ideas for my first ‘fairy’ shoot – and I am quite pleased with the result!  I rarely use ‘vintage’ colors for processing but I thought they went so well with this whimsical image.  If you would love to capture your little fairy – let me know – I got the wings, tutus and a wand ready:)
